This fantastic community event, hosted by the VCC Education Committee honors teachers from 17 local schools and organizations for their achievements in and beyond the classroom.

Dear Community,

Today I enthusiastically write to you as Chair of the Venice Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, a channel of communication for educational institutions and the business community to share their energy, innovation and intelligence.

It is time for the WAVE Awards, our annual gala to honor teachers. To co-create a world of cross-cultural understanding and positive communication, in 2019 we emphasize Living Well Together.

Nominated by their peers, this year’s winning teachers are equitable and connected to their students. They foster empathy and moral independence, tools essential in crafting a meaningful life as a member of our global community.
