Come out and join us to celebrate Mexican American heritage and history in Venice!
The Venice Cinco de Mayo Parade Festival is a Historical event in Venice, CA that has existed for 59 years. The event originated in the 1960’s during the Chicano Movement and the Civil Rights Movement.
This years Venice Cinco de Mayo Parade Festival will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 and is being sponsored by the City of Los Angeles. Participants include Santa Monica College, UCLA, Venice Family Clinic, Venice High School, Animo Venice Charter High School, Venice Youth Build, Kaiser Permanente, and many more local businesses and organizations.
The parade will be a culturally rich and festive event featuring Mexican American innovations and Venice’s finest classic cars. The parade will begin at the same location on California Ave and Lincoln Blvd at 10:00am. The parade will be followed by a festival at Oakwood Park (767 California ave, Venice. CA, 90291) on 7th ave. Between California Ave. and Broadway Ave. with live music, food vendors, informational booths, Aztec dancers, Folklorico dancers, Mariachi,face painting, raffles, piñatas, games, and much more.
