Each year the Venice Chamber of Commerce Education Committee recognizes and celebrates 17 local teachers for their achievements in and beyond the classroom.
Here is a message from the woman behind it all, event organizer and Venice Chamber of Commerce Education Committee Chair Joelle Dumas.
Dear Friends,
The May 10, 2018 WAVE Award Ceremony was a spectacular and valuable event, bringing together our leaders in education. Those being honored delivered speeches of appreciation that together illuminated the richness of our profession. Thank you from the Education Committee, Chamber of Commerce, Teachers, and Community Schools for all who generously donated. Teacher appreciation certificates were warmly provided by representatives Mike Bonin, Autumn Burke, Ted Lieu and Nick Melvoin. The sparkle of our greatest teachers is invaluable: thank you for keeping the flame alive. We appreciate your dedication, your enthusiasm and participation and overall we value our wonderful friendship.
