On August 2nd, the Venice Neighborhood Council’s hosted their 8th annual Venice Community FREE Potluck Picnic at Oakwood Park.
Over 1000 meals served. Food were served up by Venice’s own fire fighters from LAFD Station 63, and grilled by master grillers Barklie Griggs and Todd von Hoffmann.
Who was there: LA City Council member Mike Bonin, LA City Attorney Mike Feuer, and other elected officials. A variety of musical acts including Fly N’ Lion and Kathy Leonardo.
Many brought a side dish, salad or dessert and received a raffle ticket for chances to win one of the many prizes donated by local businesses. There were fun games for adults and kids, including watermelon-eating contests, Venice Ballz, and a bouncy house. Check out event photo highlights below. Photos by Venice Paparazzi.
