On May 22nd and 23rd, the Venice family clinic hosted their annual Venice Art Walk and Auctions. This event benefits the Venice Family Clinic whose mission is to provide free, quality health care to people in need. Established in 1970, the Clinic has grown from a small storefront operation into the largest free clinic in the country. With the help of more than 2,000 volunteers, including nearly 500 physicians, Venice Family Clinic provides a medical home for over 24,400 patients through eight sites in Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista, and Culver City.
About the Venice Art Walk: One great cause—one great weekend of art! This is no ordinary art walk. It’s Venice Family Clinic’s biggest annual fundraiser, the Venice Art Walk & Auctions event series, May 22 and 23, 2010. The centerpiece is the Venice Art Walk & Auctions itself – which the Los Angeles Times calls “the granddaddy of them all” – featuring more than 50 artists’ studios and special exhibits, as well as a 400-piece silent art auction.
