Venice Paparazzi covered the Venice Garden and Home Tour pre-party for the third year in a row on Friday, April 30th. Once again it was a lovely event and I was happy to be a part of. Guests included event founders Linda Lucks, Jay Griffith and Jan Brilliot, Councilman Bill Rosendahl, and Venice Home and Garden tour sponsors, volunteers and home owners. Thank you Barbara for involving Venice Paparazzi in such a great community Venice event.
About: The Venice Garden and Home Tour is an annual event in Venice, California that showcases unusual and delightful homes and gardens that exemplify the creative and original style of their owners, as well as the talents of local designers.
The tour was conceived by Venice landscape designer Jay Griffith and Venice community leaders Linda Lucks and Jan Brilliot as a fundraising event to benefit the Neighborhood Youth Association’s Las Doradas Children’s Center. NYA was founded in 1906 by the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and has enhanced the lives of thousands of “at risk” children.
Additional information: This annual event is a self-guided walking tour of Venice homes and gardens. This year’s tour will feature 25-30 gardens and homes in the historical heart of Venice, Oakwood and the Palms, Milwood neighborhoods just a short stroll from the bustling activity of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and the beach community. This fundraising event that benefits the Neighborhood Youth Association’s Las Doradas Children’s Center in Venice, is an annual showcase of creativity that inspires California’s homeowners, the one day of the year when dozens of private enclaves are open to the public.
