On Sunday, August 30th, 2015, Venice-based nonprofit P.S. ARTS held it’s annual summer foodie-festival, Taste of Venice!
This year over 40 restaurants, chefs, and supporters from the Venice community gathered at Lincoln Place Apartment Homes for an afternoon of good eats & drinks in support of P.S. ARTS’ award-winning arts education programs in California’s most underserved public schools. P.S. ARTS believes that the arts have the power to engage students and create vibrant communities — that foundation drives this unique summer fundraiser that brings culinary creatives and arts advocates together to enjoy good food and good fun — all for a great cause!
In addition to signature dishes and drinks from Venice favorites, the event featured a live DJ, musical performance by the Ugly Sweaters, over $15K worth of silent auction packages, and a raffle drawing for a trip to Saint Lucia!
The weather was wonderful, the venue was lovely, the tastes were out-of-this-world, and to top it off — 100% of event proceeds will help support P.S. ARTS’ recently acquired after-school theater program for at-risk middle school students, Inside Out Community Arts.
