bout Rockstars Baseball: The LA Rockstars Baseball Club was founded in 2007 to provide “next level” baseball opportunities for aspiring players from urban communities in Los Angeles County. Our focus is to maintain a competitive travel baseball program that emphasizes quality instruction, playing MLB rules and acting as a feeder to the national RBI program, MLB Urban Youth Academy and USA Baseball programs. Our goal is to get players prepared to play in high school by giving them instruction and information from a coaching staff made up of former college and professional players. We focus on developing the spirit of competition and detailed baseball skills that are demanded by high school coaches, college coaches and professional scouts.,
Now in its 10th year, Aldridge says, “The challenges with baseball is to get exposure, it’s not expensive to train. For people to see you, it takes resources, so oftentimes a lot of kids that we work with don’t have all those resources. We put in some infrastructure so that a kid doesn’t have to miss playing in a tournament or going to a showcase because he can’t afford it.” View write up by of MLB.com.
