Recent event covered: 02.09. 10 VENICE MEDIA DISTRICT offline.  Volume 5

The Venice Media District hosted VMD offline, a mixer for the creative companies of Venice at the Brig on Wednesday, February 9th, 2011.  There were special giveaways from Fiore Designs, John Chapple Photography and Hello Kitty prizes from Sanrio!  In-kind/event sponsors include: The Brig, Famous Frames, Hype, Law Offices of Raphael Gutierrez, Motion Theory/Mirada, Ravenswork, Simply Curious Films, ST8 Creative, Venice Arts, and the Venice Chamber of Commerce.

ABOUT VENICE MEDIA DISTRICT: Creative icons, artists and visionaries have been drawn to Venice, CA since it’s inception. This 100 year old eclectic community has come to be known as LA’s artistic outpost on the sea and has attracted a wide range of creative professionals and businesses in a variety of disciplines. In consideration of our vibrant creative history, the City Council of Los Angeles has bestowed the title of “Venice Media District” on our community. One of the mixer’s intent was to raise awareness of the Venice Media District (VMD) as one of the world’s premier creative centers.” Here is the mission of the Venice Media District: To create networking opportunities and business-to-business consciousness. To create a vehicle for non-profits and charities. To raise awareness of the VMD through city designation and promotion in an effort to attract business and entrepreneurs to the area.
