12.08.12 STRIKE AT LIGHT SPEED event at Venice, CA

On Saturday, December 8, five-time NBA Champion, and 14-time NBA All-Star, Kobe Bryant was at the historic Venice Beach basketball courts to give his hometown fans the first chance to try out his newest signature shoe from Nike Basketball: the Kobe 8 System.

Fans were able to try the shoe, and Strike at Light Speed by competing in a timed basketball experience that reference Kobe’s mastery of his sport—speed, accuracy, focus, and vision.

Jeff Garcia, the Sports Dude from Power 106 FM, hosted the event, and spoke to Kobe about the Kobe 8 System, and what it feels like to play at the speed of light.

Also, Power 106 FM personality Mando Fresko played the latest and greatest music, to keep the fans in the zone.

What was really great was that the Boys and Girls Club sat in their own private section at the event! What a great experience had by all members and their families.
