Once again, the Venice community came together to support one of their own. Jimmy Hanson, who was run over by a truck and shattered his pelvis, broke both his legs and neck while on his fixie bike, is lucky to be alive and be walking again. This tragic accident happened in February of 2010.
The fundraiser event was held at the Arbor Showroom on Washington Blvd. There was live music performances by Braw, Meet Me At the Pub, Horny Toad, Punk for Life and Tha Conclusion. Raffle prizes consisted of Arbor Snowboards, Skateboards & apparel and the beer sponsor was Pyramid brewing. All proceeds from this fundraiser went to help Jimmy and his family with medical expenses.
Highlights of the event included the live music and friendly mosh pit. Once again, Venice Paparazzi is proud to be part of another amazing Venice event.
An additional fundraiser event that was sponsored by Venice Originals, Hecho en Venice, The VSA and Ghostriderz Skateboards, was held on Saturday, June 19th at the Venice United Methodist Church skate ramp. Unfortunately, I missed that event. Anyway, compliments of Jimmy Hanson and his family, www.JuiceMagazine.com, www.VeniceOriginals.com, www.Arborsports.com and www.VenicePaparazzi.com, get your free digital images from this gallery.
Note: Photos in this gallery are uncut and unedited. In a lot of the photos I did not use flash, I increased the ISO and utilized whatever available light that was there. Enjoy!
