Bret you are remembered! Thank you for your contributions to Venice!
About YoVenice.com: Yo! Venice! was started by two friends, Keri and Bret, to create a communal blog for residents of Venice Beach California.
In today’s world of RSS feeds, they felt that a blog would be a perfect place for people to let others know how they view the Venice Beach community through words and pictures. It is hoped that this site will become a communal blog with many people submitting stories for all in the community to share. For more info: www.YoVenice.com f
Article below is from the April 10, 2014 Venice Paparazzi post!
Our beloved friend Bret Haller, friend of Venice and creator of Yo Venice died on April 9, 2014, after a year-long battle against pancreatic cancer. He was a kind, generous, great soul and stood fearless in the face of death. Here are some photos we took of him and together throughout the years. Though you hated it when we took photos of you…. we are so glad we did. We love and miss you Bret! You are remembered! Let’s raise a glass in his honor!
A message from his family on April 9, 2014.
“Bret of Yo Venice died this morning after a long and brave battle with cancer. Bret envisioned Yo as a medium for pulling the diverse voices of the community together, and we thank all of you for your contributions in making this a reality.”
