Boys & Girls Club’s 50 Anniversary

The Boys And Girls Club Of Venice has been serving the kids of Venice since 1968, giving kids experiences and opportunities that they would not of otherwise had. Their 50 year anniversary was celebration of the work done and the laying out of a vision forward.

The Boys & Girls Club of Venice (BGCV) hosted their 50^th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, September 28^th at the Jonathan Beach Club in Santa Monica. Held in the sand and under the stars, over 350 guests helped celebrate 50 years of service in the community and the community members that made it all possible. Everyone travelled through the decades with video highlights from over the years, speeches from former staff & current Board Members and awards to current BGCV staff members that have worked at the Club for over 20 years!

The event was full of live music from Alanna & These Fine Gentlemen, bidding wars, excellent food and the Bubble Tap Trailer. Current members paid tribute to the Club’s past with performances of hit songs from each decade. “We are humbled by the incredible generosity of our supporters who ensured that we are well positioned to serve youth in our community for another 50 years! It was an electrifying night that was made possible by an incredibly dedicated gala committee and staff,” said BGCV’s Interim CEO Patrick Mahoney. It was an incredible evening celebrating the Club’s golden anniversary and highlighting the important work the Club continues to do throughout the Venice community!
