Airport Marina Counseling Service’s (AMCS) Spring into Well-Being celebration held on March 23 was a huge success! The event honored John and Nancy Edwards with its 2017 Champion’s of Mental Health award. The 265 guests and sponsors mixed and mingled throughout the silent auction, took amazing photos to capture the moment, and shared laughs together.

AMCS-131-X4 The Master of Ceremonies, Fritz Coleman was amazing, and helped AMCS raise more than $235,000 to provide community based Mental Health care to those in need. Madisen Siegel, an intern for AMCS spoke about her experience with an eighth grade student from the At-Risk Youth Program provided in off-site locations, and how their journey together changed both of their lives for the better.

About: Founded in 1961, Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS) is a nonprofit, community based mental health clinic that serves the LAX, South Bay and Westside areas of Los Angeles. The mission of AMCS is two-fold: to provide affordable, community based mental health services, and to train mental health therapists.
