A message from Hometown News and the 75th Westchester Planning committee.
The community came out in full force to celebrate Westchester’s 75th Anniversary at a special cocktail reception held at Loyola Marymount University on Thursday, October 27. The sold out event had more than 250 people in attendance including Councilmember Mike Bonin, Assembywoman Autumn Burke, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and title sponsor, Karen Dial of the Drollinger Charitable Foundation.

Longtime Westchester residents Mary Ellen Cassman and Rowena Ake were honored at the event with the “Key to Westchester” for being community pioneers. A slide show tribute to Westchester’s Founders and Pioneers that are no longer with us was also played.
