Event name: Santa Monica Museum of Art’s third annual Cause for Creativity: Tour da Arts
Description: The Santa Monica Museum of Art’s third annual Tour da Arts bike event took place Sunday, August 21. More than 300 riders came out to beat the pump, cycle the town, and enjoy Santa Monica’s sights and sounds. Participants enjoyed a spoke-card workshop and a scenic ride with stops for music, dance, and art along the way. The ride culminated at SMMoA with the Bicycle Bell Ensemble – a tuneful collaborative performance.
Highlights: Stop 1 SMMoA’s Spoke Card Workshop and Cycling Culture Mini-Fest; Stop 2 The Broad Stage for music and dance by Global Motion and Synapse Contemporary Dance Ensemble; Stop 3 City Hall for Jazz on the Lawn with The Electones; Stop 4 Return to SMMoA for the Bicycle Bell Ensemble with Patrick Miller, Sister Mantos, Telematique, and David Semien
