Many came out and enjoyed Santa Monica’s sights and sounds with Cause for creativity: Tour da Arts bike event on Sunday, August 19, 2012. It was day filled with music, dance, and art. The event was hosted by Santa Monica Museum of Arts.

Tour da Arts schedule:
Noon-2 pm Festival, check-in, art workshop, food, innovative bikes, and more!
2-6 pm Cultural bike tour was led by C.I.C.L.E.’s Urban Expeditions team:

1. SMMoA: Mickalene Thomas and Park Studio exhibitions
2. Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club: Triple Chicken Foot music and square dancing called by Maggie Lind
3. John Adams Middle School Auditorium: The Matchbox Shows by puppet artist and filmmaker Laura Heit
4. Popwagon’s mobile art and theatre space performance upon return to SMMoA

ABOUT SANTA MONICA MUSUEM OF ART: The Santa Monica Museum of Art is the only kunsthalle—non collecting museum—in Southern California. SMMoA was founded in 1984. A decade later, it moved from its original location on Main Street to Bergamot Station Art Center, Southern California’s largest art and cultural complex.
