Event:   08.04.12   The 6th Annual Venice Community BBQ, Picnic and Potluck.  Hosted by the Venice Neighborhood Council.

Description: The VNC through it’s 6th annual community bbq at the Oakwood Recreation Center.  Fire station 63 grilled up a storm of pulled pork, chicken and hot dogs, and the community brought a cornucopia of sides, salads and desserts.  There was live music, children’s activities, watermelon eating contest, raffles, and more.  Civic leaders Mark Antonio Grant and Mike Bonin came out and awarded Certificates of Appreciation to members of the Neighborhood Council.  It was a super fun event with free food, cool bands, and cool people enjoying each others company

About the Venice Neighborhood Council: VNC is a branch of LA City Government. Its mission is to preserve and improve the quality of life in Venice. We represent the interests of Venice before the LA City Council and City Departments. We ensure the voice of our community is heard.   The Venice Neighborhood Council Board of Officers meets the third Tuesday of each month.
