Recent event covered: 07.18.12 Venice Media District presents Midsummer Soiree Mixer at Grainey Pictures

The Venice Media District (VMD) hosted its Midsummer Soiree Mixer at Grainey Pictures on the evening of Wednesday, July 18th. The super successful event featured delicious appetizers from China Beach Bistro and a selection of summer wines. A seasonal, low-key, post-work excuse for a drink & conversation, the VMD Mixers have grown into the “go-to” networking events for creatives working in production, post, and the media on the Westside. Along with mixing and mingling, DJ Cathy De La Cruz provided a rock’in set. Venice Paparazzi hosted their uber-popular Social Media Photo Booth. Fabulous give-aways/sponsors included local retailers Fiore Design, Soft Peak Confections, Urban Escape, and Venice Breeze Suites. VMD thanks its additional sponsors for the evening: Hal’s Bar & Grill, Danny’s Deli, James Beach, Canal Club, The Jennifer Diamond Foundation; and a special thanks to Grainey Pictures for providing their space for the shin-dig of the mid-summer season.
