Event Highlights: The Boys & Girls Club of Venice Youth of the Year awards took place on Thursday , February 21, 2013 at Google in Venice, CA. Youth of the Year finalists included Jose Garcia, Adam Fente, Kimberly Woodruff, and Briseida Vargas. The 2013 Youth of the Year was awarded to Kimberly Woodruff. In addition, Community Leader Awards were presented to Lisa and Alvin Michaelson, Marty Goldberg, and outgoing board president Julie Henley. Event sponsors included Google, Sonrise Westside Community Church, Toyota Financial Services, Bank of America, Staples, Gap and the law firm of Robins Kaplan Miller & Ceresi.

Woodruff has been a member of the club for seven years and was a finalist last year for the award.
