A fantastic time was had by all at the LAPD Pacific Division‘s Open House and 150th Year Anniversary.

There were horses, station tours, police cars from bygone eras,  bouncy houses, the Venice Paparazzi police themed photo booth, super heroes, dinosaurs, a DJ, and of course pancakes and sausages.  And, Venice Paparazzi was on the scene to document it all.  View pics below!

Here is a message from the Pacific Area Boosters Association‘s Diane Barretti.

2019 marks the year all LAPD citywide celebrates 150 years.
.
Each station was given its special day to celebrate with the community.
.
On Saturday, July 13th Pacific Area Police Station located at Culver Blvd. and Centinela Ave. celebrated their day with: A pancake breakfast, open house with tours of the station, and a very memorable memorial to the six fallen officers on the job at Pacific, spanning from 1959 to 2019.

Sgt. Kevin Lowe

The Pacific Area Boosters Association sponsored the main event, along with Core Church LA who donated their time, talent and cooked all the wonderful pancakes and food for the breakfast. Rainbow Acres on Washington Blvd. sponsored the Moon Bounces for the children,  and SachiLA Coffee Shop donated all the coffee.
,
C & M Entertainment provided the  Incredible Hulk, Frankenstein, and a number of brightly colored Dinosaurs.  The children and adults alike were amazed by these characters roaming around. The gals from MOA Wellness were on hand teaching and giving away lovely tiny flower arrangements. And of course we had our specialists doing face painting. Our balloons were complimentary from local neighbor Teresa Jimenez.

.
The LAPD Bomb Squad, the Equestrian Division CHP, Lifeguards, AAA, Motorcycles, Firetrucks, and Beach Patrol vehicles were all on site as well.
.
Board members Alex and Nadine Rosales with Control Printing were the DJ’s and kept the music going.
.
The day would not be complete if we did not have VENICE PAPARAZZI capturing all the fun whimsical moments of the day.

City Councilman Mike Bonin of the 11th District was present and helped the Boosters award plaques and city certificates to both George Francisco and Brian Ulf, two extremely giving individuals who are always there and doing to make our community a better place to live.
,
Over 350 breakfasts were served to the community.  Some very lucky folks had the opportunity to win  great baskets and bikes.
