Join the Washington Square community for a day of spectacular live artwork along the Venice Fishing Pier, at the end of Washington Boulevard, on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Renowned Street Artist Gary Palmer will be creating an original 3D art piece which attendees can view as they stroll along the fully accessible Venice Fishing Pier.
This event is presented by Washington Square Business Improvement Group (WSBIG) and benefits Safe Place for Youth and Venice Community Housing. WSBIG supporting businesses will be open and available for attendees to top off the day with fantastic food, delicious drinks, and beautiful beachwear.
About Gary Palmer:
Gary Palmer is a painter who was born in Belfast, Ireland in 1968. After completing a Masters Degree in Architecture at the University of Edinburgh, he spent the next few years traveling around the world as a street-painter. His work was featured at international festivals in Europe, Australia, and America. He now works from a studio in Venice Beach and spends summers on retreat painting in the South of France.
