Over 300 pieces of art from donors, local artists and club members were on display.at the Venice Boys and Girls Art show on Friday, January 15th. Venice Paparazzi came out to view the art from Club members competing for spots in the national art show. The judges included Scott Flora and Jerinne Neils of BLIK, and Christina Cody of Storyboards, Inc. About the competition: The club has a nationally recognized art program under the direction of Eduardo “Lalo” Marquez. However, the club struggles to maintain consistent funding needed for proper instruction and supplies. I hope this art event raised money to help fund and maintain this program.
