During the long history of the Venice Boardwalk area it has served as a home for artists, a haven of creativity, and the place to find many famous galleries. The Art Crawl is an event to help local artists show their art.

Photo:  Townhouse basement-lounge is so cool.  A definite must do  place to check out while in Venice.  By the way did you know that… During the Prohibition era of the 1920’s, when liquor was banned, there was an illegal speakeasy hidden in the basement of the Townhouse.  Also, you have to check out Red light Wednesdays with the Speakeasies on a Wednesday night.  It’s a beautiful burlesque show that starts somewhere between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m..  Rumor has it, that they we be taking the speakeasy/burlesque show down to the basement.    Oh wow, now that is very cool.  Stay tuned for the date!!!  P.S  the door guy’s name is Hollywood.  What up Hollywood!
