Photo: I have been seeing this guy for the past 11 years. Boy does he love his parrot. He is a regular at the Figtree Cafe on the Venice Beach Boardwalk or at the Cow’s End or at Mercedes Grille on Washington Blvd.

In this photo: Left: Fruit Gallery’s Diamond and friend soaking up the sun and enjoying a day without rain. Feeling under the weather, stop by the Fruit Gallery on a Westminster Ave (1 Westminster Blvd. Off the Venice Boardwalk) for a flu shot. The shot consists of a garlic and ginger. Yum!

In this photo: Venice Boardwalk Artist and famed photographer Jeffrey Stanton. I am sure you have seen his coffee table book at a friends house or on the book shelf at Animal House on Windward. If you want to know some Venice History, pick up a copy of Venice California, “Coney Island of the Pacific.” Jeffrey Stanton usually sets up his books and 25 cents Venice postcards on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. In this photo: I caught the Venice Boardwalk performers, the Calypso Tumblers between sets. If you are on the boardwalk, take moment and watch their performance. I will just say wow at their strength, flexibility and talent. By the way, these guys Calypso Tumblers made it in the Top Ten episode of America’s Got Talent. Way to go guys!
