A message from Venice Surfing Association.

Very excited to announce our 2023 VSA contest schedule! Besides the always fun, community-building side of these events, we also wanted to create an authentic competitive surf series that will give our younger surfers a place to grow and thrive.

Our goal is to put on 5 well-organized events for the entire Venice surfing community. We are also working to build a team to compete in the West Coast Board Riders Association. Their 2024 contest series begins in December of 2023. During the year, VSA contest results will determine an end-of-year ranking system and we’ll use that to help form our Venice surf team for 2024.

We are a new organization with one contest under our belt, the Breakwater Open this past October. We have a lot to learn and lot we’d like to accomplish in 2023. Our focus remains on building community, having fun, and supporting all facets of surfing in Venice.
