Free Community Art Activation: United Against Hate Venice Beach Party
Wings Against Hate: Relational Organizing Through Art
FREE Community Art Activation Beach Party Supporting 2022 United Against Hate Week
Created in partnership by A Window Between Worlds (AWBW) & Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center (APADRC), Wings Against Hate is an art activation launched to break isolation and build community in the face of ongoing and increasing acts of hate.
This is a Block Party-type event (virtual option available!) held on Venice Beach designed to invite community members to join the LA vs Hate Pledge. The event will center around the creation of shared wings of change as event-goers join together to build a collective art activation. At the event, community members will have the opportunity to design their own individual wings against hate to uplift sustained action and community connection. Eligible community members will be able to participate in a special challenge and win their own Art Activation Toolkit!
To keep the event accessible and inclusive for all community members, this event is free and virtual participation is welcomed! Gather your friends and family near and far to build vision, connection, and purpose that we can carry beyond United Against Hate Week!
