Dear Friends,
I want to let you know about a series of virtual town halls that I plan to host this fall and winter, building on the successful town halls from the past summer that focused on the COVID pandemic, senior citizens, renters, small businesses, and public safety.
This year continues to bring a number of challenges that impact our city, and have changed the way we do everything from working to going out to shop and eat, doing business, and even addressing our homelessness crisis, mental health, and responding to crime in our neighborhoods. In times of uncertainty and crisis, we need information to help us navigate forward. To help you and your family get the information you need, I’m planning a series of virtual town halls focused on the concerns that I hear about the most.
Here are the topics for the town halls I plan to host:
- Crime and Public Safety, with LAPD Chief Moore (to take place in November)
- Reimagining Public Safety
- Homelessness
- Addressing The Mental Health Crisis
- Seniors
- Small Businesses
- Unemployment Resources
This is a tough time for many in our neighborhoods. As we consider how to address and meet the needs of local residents I want to hear directly from you, and help to answer your questions. I encourage you to join one or more of these virtual town hall meetings, where you’ll have a chance to ask your questions; and to do so all you need to do is watch for my invitations over the coming months.
Additionally, if you have other suggestions for future town hall meeting topics that would be of interest to you and your neighbors, please click here to submit those suggestions.
Los Angeles is a city with enormous talent, potential, and heart. Together, we’ll take on these tough issues, and we’ll come out of it stronger than ever.

Warm Regards,
