The Community came out en masse to for the Fire Fundraiser Block Party at Nalu Vida!

It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day that kicked off with  the firefighters of Venice Station 63 cooking up pancakes breakfasts and went on from there with live bands, comedy, DJ’s, epic food, ice cold drinks, and throngs of smiling faces enjoying good vibes, and great times with friendly faces, and an ocean view.

And it was a smashing success, between drink and food  sales, QR code donations (which were matched by MDR Rotary Club), and Venice Brand raffle tickets, almost $10,000 was raised.  And this money goes directly to Fire Station 63 and MDR Fireman’s Fund. Epic!

Organizers Christian Warren  and Justin Urich from Nalu Vida, and Alex Stowell from Venice Paparazzi, would like to give a huge fist bump to: Councilwoman Traci Park, Sonya Young Jimenez from L.A. City Rec. & Parks, The Venice Brand, and Nancy and Debra of MDR Rotary, and all of their respective teams.

As well, A huge high five to  the talent: Brobots, Unkle Monkey, Thirst Heroes, DJ Yoga Matt, and all the comedians, it’s not funny that I don’t know their names.

And most of all, big love to all the local community that came out and participated.  It was so great to see everyone having such a good time while supporting a righteous cause.  Let’s do it again soon!
