Got an opinion on how Venice should be run? Are you politically savvy? Well, jump in the mix and run for office, bruh! The VNC 2025 election candidate filing is open through Dec. 30. Don’t sleep on the opportunity to get involved.
Here is a message from the Venice Neighborhood Council.
WHY RUN FOR THE VNC?
Los Angeles is home to the largest grassroots civic engagement system in the nation – the Neighborhood Council system. The Venice Neighborhood Council (VNC) is one of these councils, a hyperlocal form of government that works to ensure the City of Los Angeles is responsive to the needs, challenges, and aspirations of Venice. The VNC advocates on important issues like housing, homelessness, development, transportation, public safety, and more and is made up of volunteer elected officials that are your voice in City Hall.
If you are a stakeholder in Venice and are interested in bringing the concerns of this community to the City, consider running for one of the many board positions on the VNC, attending the many committee meetings that the VNC hosts, or joining us for a board meeting where items are put to a vote to bring to the City.
It’s YOUR Venice, get involved.
