Pack a Picnic and Enjoy a Cultural Celebration of Community, Arts, and Culture with a Free, Family-Friendly Interactive Experience in the City’s Eco-Friendly Urban Oasis.

Back by popular demand, the city of Santa Monica in partnership with Community Arts Resources (CARS) presents Endless Summer C.A.M.P. (Community | Art | Music | Picnic), the cultural event series celebrating community, arts, and culture at Tongva Park. This free celebration invites attendees to pack a picnic, blankets, and beach chairs and enjoy four Saturday afternoons showcasing artists from across Santa Monica and the LA region sharing their culture through unique performances and hands-on crafts. The family-friendly series will take place in the center of Tongva Park, at Gathering Hill, on Saturdays from Aug. 3 to Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Endless Summer C.A.M.P. will feature interactive music and dance performances from India, Mexico, and the Philippines, and Santa Monica locals, GRAMMY® nominated family artists Andrew & Polly. In addition to music and dance performances, youth from Santa Monica will take the stage performing mini rock concerts and Ballet Folklorico. Hands-on craft workshops including puppet and kite-making enhance the day’s activities. Angel Fruits Cart will offer fresh fruit for purchase throughout the day.
The diverse lineup includes LA’s premiere Bollywood dance company, Joya Kazi Entertainment, interactive bubble play with Bubblemania and Company, and a bells and beads adornment workshop with Matti Sands on August 3; Kayamanan Ng Lahi presents the richness and diversity of the Philippine culture through dance, music, and song, Academia de Danza Ballet Folklorico Flor de Mayo’s youth ballet will be performing Traditional Mexican Folklorico Dance, and a plant terrarium workshop with Eros Cortes on August 10; a puppet show from Bob Baker Marionette Theater, performance with GRAMMY-nominated family artists Andrew & Polly, and a puppet-making workshop with reDiscover on August 17, and animals from around the world with Conservation Ambassadors/Zoo to You, mini rock concerts from youth bands of KID ROW, and a kite-making workshop with Dajin Yoon on August 24.
Attendees can spend the full day in Santa Monica and explore local businesses and restaurants in nearby Downtown, 3rd Street Promenade, the Pier, and Main Street.
Endless Summer C.A.M.P is produced by Community Arts Resources (CARS), presented by the City of Santa Monica, and made possible by the city’s Art of Recovery community grants initiative.

About Tongva Park:
Situated on 6.2 acres, just south of Colorado Avenue, between Ocean Avenue and Main Street in Santa Monica, Tongva Park is an urban park featuring a lush landscape of rolling hills, swales, Mediterranean gardens, and active spaces. The park hosts more than 100 species of plants and more than 300 trees from 21 species. Amenities include a splash pad, playground, observation decks with scenic views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Pier, public art, an amphitheater, garden, fountains, picnic areas, and restrooms. Tongva Park is located at 1615 Ocean Ave. and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parking is available at the Santa Monica Civic Center Parking Structure as well as metered parking on Main Street, Olympic Blvd., and Ocean Ave.
