It was a great morning for a run!  The  Venice Beach Run Conquer the Pier event kicked off at 8:30 a.m. at the end of the Venice Pier.  A nice cool marine layer covered the 5k course, which went from the end of the pier to the beach, then north on the boardwalk to Rose Ave,  turned around and came back, finishing at the end of the pier.  There was also a 1k that started at 10:00 a.m. at Muscle Beach Gym, and ran down to Washington Blvd. and then up the pier to the finish line.

An Aztlan Athletics event, 50% of the proceeds went to LA Parks Foundation who will in turn help fund the Venice Beach Recreation and Parks Center programs.

About 800 runners crossed the finish line, got a medal, and then stuck around afterwards to enjoy vendor sampling, a DJ, and of course the Venice Paparazzi Photo Land, which was set up at end of the end of the pier, for an epic Pacific Ocean view. Thank you to a partnership with L.A. City Councilwoman Traci Park and L.A. Parks Foundation, we were able to bring our awesome Venice/Ocean themed 360 Video Booth and one of our super fun Boomerang Social Booths for this version of Venice Paparazzi Photo Land!  And Venice Paparazzi’s Edizen even took some BTS photos to further document the day!
