Last Thursday Venice Summer Concert Series is going down this Thursday July 25 on the north end of the Venice Boardwalk.
Come 6:30 p.m. and it is the one and only The Brobots throwing down. Known as the greatest band in the land, writers of songs for the Beatles, Doors, Rolling Stones, and more, the Brobots will serenade the masses until the sun sets over the Santa Monica mountains. Then the mini music festival continues with shows at four local venues:
- Venice Beach Bar: TBA
- Rose Room: The Aliens That Ate Hollywood
- Fig Tree: Ottoman
- Waterfront: Toola and Soire

- L.A. Rec. & Parks, Councilwoman Traci Park
- VNC president Brian Averill
- Generic Events Brennan Linder
- And Venice Paparazzi’s Alex Stowell

June 27, 2024 was an epic summer Thursday evening on the north end of the Venice boardwalk. It was one of the those perfect nights that will be long remembered. It was the start of something great. It was the first event in the “Last Thursday: Venice Summer Concert series 2024.” Throngs of smiling Venice faces watched, danced, and reveled as local legends Horny Toad played a killer 75 minute set of their unique punk, ska, reggae style, ending just as the sun ducked behind the Santa Monica mountains. You could hear the waves crash, feel the ocean breeze, and almost taste the saltwater at the stage. After the show ended with a pit inducing mashup that included the Suicidal Tendencies classic “Subliminal,” folks continued with the mini music festival vibe and ventured over to the four adjacent, participating venues that had bands playing and happy hour all night: Waterfront Venice, The Rose Room, Venice Beach Bar, and Fig Tree.
The next event is on Thursday, July 25 and will feature Brobots. Grab your friends, bring a blanket or beach chairs, and come check out the show.
