ABOUT STRAUSS LA:
Located at 1320 Main Street, in Venice, STRAUSS LA is a 1000 square foot retail space dedicated to showcasing STRAUSS’s innovative workwear, gear, and apparel. On offer are the brand’s tailored work pants and shorts, work shoes, jackets, as well as hats, tees, and accessories.
STRAUSS is a third-generation family business located in Biebergemünd, Germany. Known across Europe for its iconic ostrich logo (Strauss means ostrich in German), the company is one of Europe’s leading workwear manufacturers. Engelbert Strauss, Inc. will bring the STRAUSS spirit to the US. “You learn more off campus than you do on campus,” says Henning Strauss about his days as a student. “The brand, as we know it today, was born then.” STRAUSS LA is more than a store. It’s a homecoming. Engelbert Strauss, Inc., was founded as an independent US business.
HOW DID STRAUSS END UP IN LA?
As a family-owned and operated business for three generations, STRAUSS may have roots in Germany, but the company’s progressive perspective was shaped in Los Angeles. It started when Henning Strauss, now President of Engelbert Strauss, Inc., attended university in Malibu in the ‘90s.
