Venice Basketball League, will launch its highly-anticipated Venice Women’s League with Women’s Draft Day on Saturday, June 17th at the legendary Venice Beach basketball courts, located at 1700 Ocean Front Walk, Venice Beach, CA. Draft Day will commence from 3-6 P.M., where players will showcase their skills in the hopes of securing a roster spot. In an open tryout format, Women’s Draft Day will set up VWL’s inaugural season, providing a platform for talented female hoopers to showcase their talents.
The 2023 VWL season tips off on Sunday, June 18th and will run for 8 weeks, consisting of six teams, five games plus playoffs, building up to the Ron Beals Day championship match on August 27th. The draft will test players endurance, strength, mental toughness and game-ability. All hopefuls are encouraged to preregister through our signup sheet.
