On Thanksgiving Day, Bellissimo Venice will host its 6th Annual ‘Feed The Need’ Turkey Day Giveaway!

Last year was a big success, but with your help we can make our outreach bigger and better. We will be serving free coffee, pastries, and turkey sandwiches to all of those in need. We encourage everyone in the community willing to contribute to come out and help support the cause. What better way is there to kick off your Thanksgiving Day? Let’s all come together as a community and give back to the less fortunate in our beloved city!

This is a community driven event, so we need your support!  Financial contributions are crucial to make this event happen. Anything helps, whether it’s $5 or $100, it all adds up! As a result of generous financial donations last year, we gave away over 3,000 sandwiches, hundreds of cups of coffee and pastries. Over 2,000 of the sandwiches were transported to downtown and distributed on skid row.

Food donations will be accepted starting Monday, November 19th. We will be accepting pastry and dessert items to accompany coffee and cases of water.  We are also accepting toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and socks for the downtown distribution. These Items are imperative to fulfilling the community’s needs.

All donations are to be received at Bellissimo Venice located at 68 N Venice Blvd, during normal business hours. Financial donations are also accepted via Paypal at paypal.me/feedtheneed2016 or Venmo, username- Sammissimo

Volunteers will be needed for Wednesday afternoon/evening for prep, and Thursday morning/afternoon for sandwich assembly and distribution. It is very important to hear from all interested volunteers so that I can adequately prepare and schedule both days. We also need drivers to caravan to skid row.
