Here is the current City and Beach laws pertaining to dogs.  Let’s see if we can adjust this!

Dogs are welcome on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, and not on the beach.  Dogs are not allowed on the Venice Beach Boardwalk between 11 a.m – 8 p.m on Sat, Sun and holidays between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Here is an idea for a community project!  How about a dog beach for a few hours a day? Let’s lobby the local politicians to allow dogs on the beach in morning for an hour or so, and again in the evening!  Say 6:00 a.m-7:00 a.m.  and from 7:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. when the beach is not so crowded? We can refine the rules as we go.  Anyone else think this is a great idea?  Dogs are part of the family and should be allowed to enjoy the beach too!
