In tandem with The City of Los Angeles, the LA Dept. of Parks and Rec, the support of Adidas and our amazing community of donors, VeniceBall recently conducted a full resurfacing and repainting of the VBL court – part of its “Build Courts, Not Walls” campaign. The purpose of this effort is to give a lasting gift to the community that has supported VeniceBall’s events through the years.
The inauguration ceremony occurred Sunday June 4th at the court and was followed by the summer Sunday schedule: Kids league (KVBL) and the Beach Basketball League all afternoon.
VeniceBall Founder & CEO Nick “Ansom” Gaillard says “The Venice community is amazing. Millions of people from around the country and world come to these courts each year, and we hope our efforts will showcase the vitality and spirit of this amazing place.” .

- Every Sunday, from 9am, the KVBL clinic will be hosted by basketball coaches, yoga teacher, nutriotionist and special guest.
- From 12pm the adults league will take place with 12 teams battling for 10 weeks among NBA, NFL, NCAA players, streetball legends professionnals dunkers.

What We Do: The Venice Basketball League consists of 12 invitational teams. VBL hoops combined with the sounds of the best DJ’s bring a combination of entertainment-style play and most physical action with No free throws. We follow a structured team agenda and evolved from its humble beginnings in 2007 into a “reputable roster compiled with the highest of standards in ethics and talent.”

Bring the kids to KVBL- Kids Venice Basketball League! At no cost to the children or their families, KVBL kids are exposed to the following: Yoga instruction from world-renowned Yoga masters; basketball lessons with some of the League’s premier players and other celebrities; fitness facts and training from Vegan nutrition professionals. Gourmet chefs will demonstrate to the kids the simplicity of eating healthy by making together healthy smoothies and lunch. The boys and girls of the camp are also given the opportunity to play in a similarly structured league in the afternoon where kids will shine, earn a nickname and showcase their talent in front of everyone.
