My heart cries for the family, friends and patrons of French Market Cafe. Yesterday, I received a phone call. My heart sank after hearing the news that French Market Cafe owner Patrice Martinez died instantly in a motorcycle accident in South America.
My first thought after hearing the news was, Agnes, his wife, how is she doing? I can only imagine how it might feel to lose the love of your life, team mate and best friend.

I’ve only spoken to Patrice and Agnes a few times. The first time I met this lovely couple was at their weekly Thursday Aperitif hours event at the cafe. My first impression of these two were…. Wow, what great big smiles they have, and their energies were welcoming, warm and good. I thought, what a happy couple they are! Come to think of it now, their cafe also radiates this energy.
Oh Agnes, and the French Market, we, at Venice Paparazzi, are so sorry for your loss. You are in our hearts and minds.
