Play some pick up, or just shoot around on the courts featured in the movies American History X and White Men Can’t Jump.  The Rec. and Parks office will lend you a ball for free, just leave your ID as a deposit. 

About the Venice Beach Basketball Courts:  Home to films including American History X and White Men Can’t Jump, the Venice Beach Basketball courts house some of the best pick-up ball around. With four full length court there is always a game waiting no matter what your skill level.  (3 regulation & 1 stadium size court)

Court Rules: 
Open play.  No fee/reservations.  First come basis.  Tournaments & permits take precedence on courts.
Court No. 1.  When other are waiting:  5 on 5 only.  Games are played to 11 points straight.
Court No. 2.  3 on 3 only.  No full court
Court No. 3.  3 on 3 only.  No full court.  youth teams and ladies teams have priority over adult male teams, except on weekends.
Equipment rental:  Recreation & Parks office basketball rentals free with valid I.D. Rec office opens at 8:00 a.m.

  • Every Sunday, from 9am, the KVBL clinic will be hosted by basketball coaches, yoga teacher, nutriotionist and special guest.
  • From 12pm the adults league will take place with 12 teams battling for 10 weeks among NBA, NFL, NCAA players, streetball legends professionnals dunkers.
